How bookings work
When you complete a booking on Come To Egypt, you'll receive a confirmation email with your booking reference, itinerary details, and the specific cancellation terms that apply to that booking. Because we aggregate inventory across multiple suppliers, cancellation terms can vary by hotel, airline, and tour operator — always shown clearly before you pay.
Hotel bookings
Most hotel rates fall into one of two categories, clearly labeled at checkout:
- Free cancellation — cancel up to a stated deadline (varies by property) for a full refund
- Non-refundable — discounted rates that cannot be cancelled or changed; full amount is charged at booking
Flight bookings
Flight cancellation and change policies are set by the operating airline and fare type. Some fares permit free changes within a window; most discounted fares are non-refundable, with change fees where changes are permitted at all. Specific terms are shown before you confirm payment.
Package bookings
Package cancellation terms depend on how far in advance you cancel relative to your departure date, since packages bundle non-refundable components (like flights or fixed-departure tours) with more flexible ones:
- 60+ days before departure — full refund, minus a 5% service fee
- 30–59 days before departure — 50% refund
- Under 30 days before departure — non-refundable
Exact terms for your specific package are shown at checkout and in your confirmation email.
Tour & activity bookings
Most day tours allow free cancellation up to 24–48 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to the specific tour operator's policy shown at booking.
How to cancel or change a booking
Manage cancellations and changes directly from your CTE account under "My Bookings," or contact our Support Center. See our step-by-step guides for cancelling a hotel, cancelling a flight, or cancelling a package.
Force majeure
In cases of extraordinary circumstances beyond a supplier's control (natural disasters, government travel restrictions, etc.), cancellation terms may be adjusted; affected travelers will be contacted directly with available options.
